Breckenridge Grand Vacations: A Longstanding Partner in Expanding Access to Adaptive Outdoor Recreation in Breckenridge

For more than 20 years, Breckenridge Grand Vacations (BGV) has been a trusted partner of the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, helping ensure that people of all abilities can experience the mountains that define this community.

What began as event sponsorship has grown into a deeply rooted partnership grounded in shared values of inclusion and community impact. Over the past two decades, BGV’s support has helped strengthen BOEC’s adaptive programming and increase overall program capacity in Breckenridge and beyond.

Supporting Adaptive Recreation and Driving Community Impact

Through a combination of financial contributions, in-kind support, leadership involvement, and employee engagement, BGV’s support helps ensure the foundation of BOEC programs.

BGV has contributed over $500,000 in both cash and in-kind contributions to support BOEC’s programs over the last 20 years. That support helps make adaptive instruction, specialized equipment, and trained staff available to participants with physical, cognitive, sensory, and behavioral disabilities, as well as veterans and others who benefit from inclusive outdoor experiences.

Beyond financial support, BGV leaders and staff have also shown up by volunteering time, lending expertise, and supporting BOEC events. BOEC has been honored to have BGV leaders serve on our board of directors, offering strategic guidance and long-term stewardship.

Many BGV staff members volunteer at our events and participate in service days that directly support the maintenance of our wilderness campus. This hands-on engagement has helped strengthen the connection between adaptive recreation and the broader Breckenridge community.

Our purpose statement is ‘The soul of BGV is creating smiles,’ and BOEC is doing just that day-in and day-out. It’s truly our pleasure to help support the awareness of their programs, facilities, and operations.” – Mike Dudick, CEO

That shared philosophy is reflected in BGV Gives, the company’s philanthropic arm, which focuses on creating positive community impact through sustainability, philanthropy, and personal growth for its employees.

New BGV Development Expanding Access on Breckenridge Ski Resort

As BOEC looks ahead to its 50th anniversary and beyond, BGV is playing a key role in helping the organization grow to meet rising demand for adaptive recreation.

BGV’s newest development, the Imperial Hotel & Private Residences at the base of Peak 8, will include a dedicated space that allows BOEC to expand both its adaptive ski and snowboard program and its Wilderness Program to an additional location at Breckenridge Ski Resort. This new footprint will increase program capacity and strengthen BOEC’s ability to serve skiers and riders of all abilities during the winter season, while also creating opportunities for expanded summer offerings, including new on-mountain programs such as adaptive mountain biking.

This expansion builds on BOEC’s existing presence at Breckenridge Ski Resort and reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that accessibility grows alongside the resort itself.

Looking Ahead Together

As BOEC enters its 50th year, partnerships like the one with Breckenridge Grand Vacations make it possible to plan boldly for the future with expanding programs, modernizing facilities, and ensuring that financial or physical barriers never stand between a participant and the outdoors.

We are grateful for BGV’s continued commitment to adaptive recreation and for their role in shaping a mountain community where the outdoors truly belongs to everyone.
