Wow, what an amazing year we had because of your contributions and support! As you can see from the infographic above, 2018-2019 was one of the more successful years in the history of BOEC, and we look forward to an even better 2020! This past year we served a record 2,792 participants in 10,333 program days with the number of scholarship participants growing by 6% year-over-year for an additional 48 individuals provided with financial assistance. We also expanded partnerships by adding Children’s Hospital, Colorado Springs’ Cleft Camp and local non-profit “Camp Forget Me Not,” who work with children who are dealing with the death of a family member.
Your financial support also enabled us to purchase three new vehicles, three adaptive paddle boards, five adaptive kayaks, one new mono-ski, 18 sets of Edelrid Smart Belay & Smart Descent safety systems, and 11 new tents.
