“Everything about this camp was outside my comfort zone. I definitely felt exhilaration from some of the activities and pride from overcoming some of my fears; however, I think the happiest parts of camp for me were between events. I helped cook and nothing went wrong, I helped set the table, I did dishes. I was useful. I don’t know how to explain how amazing that is.”

“Our camp was beyond fabulous this year and our birthday celebration was something special! It’s hard to believe we’ve been working together for 14 years…seems like we both found our passion. Here’s to many more years of working together on Cleft Camp!”

“My Heroic Military adventure with BOEC was epic. The guides, Jill, Mark, Sean and Nicollete were full of energy and FUN! I felt safe the entire time.”

“We had an absolutely fabulous experience! Your staff is the best! We loved their enthusiasm, their knowledge of child development, their sense of humor, and their personalities in general! I was sad to leave, as was everyone else.”

“I hope I can explain and find the right words to tell you all how full my heart is this weekend. My new brain & life is full of changes and fears, and I was so scared to do something so different. You ALL were immediately accommodating, gracious & kind! Coming to Creative Minds camp helped me so much! Griffith Lodge and camp is magical, peaceful & life changing! Thank you to each of you for our special talks and support. I will never forget each of you and this weekend! Thank you Brain Injury Alliance and BOEC for gifting me with a scholarship to have the chance to personally see and enjoy the grace the BOEC staff has.”

“I cannot verbalize how impressed we were with your staff and facilities!  I had always imagined working with the BOEC to be amazing, we were all in awe over the course!  Whatever it is you guys are doing to train and hire your staff keep it up. We have worked with several similar organizations in the past and have never been so pleased.”

The activities were well-planned and fun, but the staff made the week something completely unforgettable. They acted as personal guides for us individually as well as for the group as a whole. I have never felt so special. I was treated as if I was someone valued. No matter the need or request there was always a staff member waiting to help. I came away with the feeling that I really mattered and was respected and cared for in a special way.
