The BOEC extends a special welcome to military veterans and their family members. The program is designed to accommodate veterans who have sustained a moderate to significant injury which has resulted in the veteran being unable to continue in active service, but willing and able to engage in adventurous and adaptive outdoor activity. Children as young as 8 years old are welcome.

A great adventure in Breckenridge, Colorado for you and your family. The BOEC will provide lodging in their Scott Griffith Lodge, which is a large family style cabin. From there we offer classic adventures such as hiking, rock climbing, rafting and the ropes course for day activities. In the evening, reconnect with your family with games, camp fires and relaxation time in the Rocky Mountains.

Breckenridge, Colorado is a great family destination with something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Beat the heat, enjoy the scenery, go on a new adventure; it all happens here in Breckenridge.

The trip will be designed primarily as a fun family experience with activities involving all who attend. The outcomes of the trip will flow from the activities and experience, such as increased family bonding and integration, fun and relaxation, new knowledge and skills and increased understanding of being a family while living with an injury.
