Volunteer Coordinator

Shelby was born and raised in Colorado, and proud of it. Starting in her small town of Larkspur, Colorado, she grew up riding horses in the backwoods and hiking around the countryside. After high school, she moved on to Fort Collins to complete her bachelor’s in health and exercise science while expanding her interest in rafting, trail running, and jamming out to bluegrass music in the Poudre Canyon.  Wanting to embrace the cold weather more, she enjoyed exploring the mountains of Summit County via snowboard while delving into her studies at night to complete her master’s in public health. She is excited to use all her tools to expand into the community and help create the opportunity for everyone to become a vital part of the BOEC.
