Owen Anderson

Hi my name is Owen Anderson! I grew up in Austin, TX, but am recently from Minneapolis, MN where I just graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management. The last four years of my life have been spent learning about the natural world through education and lived experiences. I’ve spent summers guiding backpacking and canoeing trips for children and teens in Minnesota and throughout the western states and Canada. Helping people to get outside and benefit from their time there has become an important passion of mine. I came to the BOEC to continue this pursuit of facilitating positive experiences for people in the outdoors. I’m so excited to spend the season learning, teaching, growing, and having fun in the mountains!
