Gardner Popp
Volunteer Coordinator
Gardner grew up in Tampa, Florida, and attended the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior, specializing in Community Health Promotion. During her time in college, she volunteered at a local school that provided education to students with intellectual disabilities and completed an internship at an adaptive gymnastics gym. It was during this internship that Gardner discovered her passion for adaptive sports. In 2019, she graduated from college and accepted an internship with the BOEC for the winter. Gardner’s dedication and hard work earned her a new role as Volunteer Coordinator.
By completing PSIA certifications and becoming a raft guide, Gardner has expanded her knowledge of the outdoors. She enjoys learning how to adapt outdoor sports for people of all abilities to enjoy, through her work and training with the BOEC. She is proud to be part of an organization that provides everyone the chance to experience the outdoors in such a positive and uplifting way.
