Volunteer positions vary in length and responsibility in both the summer and winter. Volunteers who work directly with participants are provided training in adaptive equipment, disability awareness and BOEC procedures.
New Winter Volunteers are required to complete 3 full days (6 half days) of training. Dryland Orientation and Disability Awareness are required (see below).
New Summer Volunteers are required to complete 1 full day (2 half days) of training including Dryland Orientation and Disability Awareness, and training needed to assist on specific activities as listed below.
Winter Programming:
- Dryland Orientation
- Disability Awareness
- 2 additional clinics of your choice – offerings and schedule will be shared at start of season
Summer Programming:
- Dryland Orientation
- Disability Awareness
- Other clinics and trainings of your choice, including Adaptive Cycling, High Ropes Course, and Adaptive Rock Climbing
- Drivers trainings if applicable
