Anna Frankel

Hi! I am from Sacramento, California and grew up hiking and skiing in the Sierra Nevadas. I recently graduated with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Carleton College in Minnesota. Living in the Midwest allowed me to explore nature in new ways; I cross country skied and went on canoe trips with friends for the first time. I am also interested in education, and I have spent lots of time working with kids. I have especially valued opportunities to connect my love for the outdoors with my interest in education; teaching at a nature-based preschool and leading outdoor after-school programs for elementary students. I am so excited for the opportunity to experience a new side of outdoor education while exploring the Colorado mountains at the BOEC!
