Steven Rubin

Steve joined the BOEC in 2017 as a summer intern while obtaining his degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Over the years, he has worked as a ski instructor, a climbing guide, and as the BOEC’s Logistics Coordinator. Most recently, he has begun working as the Wilderness Program Manager. Believing the phrase “therapeutic recreation” to be a bit redundant, he views the outdoors as inherently therapeutic for all. When such a setting is combined with the strong sense of community one finds at the BOEC, the result is a unique feeling resembling something like “home.” In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, geeking out over Rec Therapy journal articles, and climbing long multi-pitch routes.
