Melanie moved to Summit County in 2009 and began her local journey as a ski instructor, where she was first inspired by the BOEC’s mission to make skiing accessible for all. Originally from Pittsburgh, she graduated from Colgate University where she competed on the swim team, fueling her lifelong passion for athletics and movement.
She later spent more than eight years with a real estate developer and general contractor as the Sales and Client Services Manager, contributing to several local housing projects. Through that work, she connected with Creative Cabinetry, where she now serves as Director of Sales and Marketing.
In 2024, Melanie became a BOEC volunteer and quickly discovered how meaningful it is to share her love of skiing with participants of all abilities. She and her husband are grateful to call Summit County home, and giving back is a priority. Melanie is an active member of Breckenridge Mountain Rotary and will serve as president in 2026-2027.
