Apa khabar! I’m Joseph! I’m an international Student from Kedah, Malaysia! I was born and raised in Malaysia, so I am used to the tropics, the humidity, and I have an addiction to water. I grew up exploring the world with my family, especially my grandparents and my father, you could say I took after their sense of adventure and ramped it up to the next evolution. I grew up camping and going on hikes with my grandparents, my father and was active in my church, in the Boys Brigade and Scouts. Some of my favorite outdoor activities are hiking, camping and anything related to the water, honestly kinda funky for someone who found out they have mild thalassophobia while scuba diving. I’m incredibly lucky to have BOEC as my internship site as I find this to be a new challenge in a different sector I have yet to have adequate experience with. After this internship I’ll graduate with my Bachelors in Recreation Management with an Outdoor emphasis. If I could just live the hobbit lifestyle wherever and go on adventures, solo or with people from time to time, that is my ideal lifestyle and life goal. Sapere Aude, ad astra per aspera.
