Emily Snyder - Winter Intern

My name is Emily Snyder and I’m from Grand Blanc, MI. Growing up around the landscape of Northern Michigan, I love being active in all things outdoors. I attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles MO, pursuing therapeutic recreation and art and design. This introduced me to a variety of exceptional organizations such as Gateway Disabled Ski Program (GDSP), and Disabled Athlete Sports Association (DASA). These organizations not only aligned with my passions for adaptive sport and the outdoors, but also encouraged my development within the field. Through these internships, not only have I gained valuable experience and mentorship, but I have also learned how to incorporate my art and design skills to enhance the mission and awareness of therapeutic recreation practices. I am eager to see what I can accomplish with the BOEC!
