Hello, my name is Caleigh Sewell and I am so excited to work for the BOEC this winter! Growing up in Asheville, North Carolina, I had an early start to my outdoor adventures. My home in the Blue Ridge Mountains heavily influenced my decision to graduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an Environmental Science degree. For the past five summers, I have been a member of various backcountry trail crews all across the US (Denali National Park, the Appalachian Trail in Maine, Olympic National Park and twice in Colorado), executing sustainable trail and land management techniques, as well as developing leadership and wilderness first aid skills. In addition to conservation work, I really enjoy hiking, biking, rowing, snowboarding, and basically anything involving the outdoors. The BOEC Adaptive Ski & Snowboard Program will be an exciting way to work in the outdoors, achieve personal goals, and make a positive impact on the lives of others.
