Dr. Sophocles co-founded the BOEC in 1976 and has been an active board member for most of the years since then. He was Breckenridge’s first doctor in the modern era, arriving in 1974 and opening the Breckenridge Medical Center in 1975. His dream is to provide access to outdoor activities for people of all abilities in Breckenridge and Keystone, and through our internship graduates, nationally as well.
