A lifelong Breckenridge community member, educator, and outdoor leader, I carry deep roots in the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) through my father, Gene Dayton, one of its original founders. With a Master’s in Education, my teaching journey has included Montana wilderness programs, a Development Director at Gallup Catholic school in Gallup, New Mexico, California public school educator, and a decade as an elementary teacher and instructional leader in the mountains of Colorado. Growing up at the Breckenridge Nordic Center fostered a lifelong commitment to community service and inclusive outdoor experiences. Support for my family’s business operations now blends with ongoing work alongside local partners and outdoor education initiatives, all in dedication to honoring my family’s legacy and ensuring transformative recreational experiences for people of all abilities.
