Internships
The Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to live and work in Summit County, Colorado. This internship can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of your life. Each intern has the opportunity to achieve personal and professional goals throughout the season.
There are two options for internship terms: summer and winter. Both internships include a three-week-long immersive training period and hands-on experience in all aspects of programming. Compensation includes full room and board (meals), a monthly stipend as well as seasonally applicable benefits. Please follow the links below for a detailed overview of each internship term.

November 1 – April 30
BOEC’s winter adaptive internship is a six-month commitment, working primarily for BOEC’s Adaptive Ski & Snowboard Program that serves Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper and Arapahoe Basin Ski Resorts. You will be an integral part of the ski office and gain experience in operations and on snow instructing for people with various disabilities and unique needs.
May 15 – September 30
BOEC’s summer adaptive internship is a four-month commitment, working primarily for BOEC’s Wilderness Program based in Breckenridge, Colorado. You will be involved in planning, implementing, facilitating and evaluating adaptive outdoor adventure courses for individuals with a wide range of abilities. Activities include rafting, rock climbing, hiking, cycling, canoeing, camping, accessible high ropes course, and more.
