Hello! My name is Adam Russell and I’m from Carbondale, Illinois. I study Therapeutic Recreation at Southern Illinois University. I also served six years as an infantryman in the Illinois Army National Guard. I was lucky to grow up right outside the Shawnee National Forest, where I learned to appreciate the outdoors. The forest helped foster great memories in a place perfect for hiking and running. My favorite hobby is watching Cleveland Cavaliers basketball and Ohio State football. It has been my dream to live out west and I am so excited to be one step closer to that. Working with BOEC is going to provide an amazing opportunity to train on adaptive sports.
