Emma Brophy

Hi! My name is Emma Brophy, I grew up in Madison, WI and have spent the last four years in Gunnison, CO studying at Western Colorado University. I graduated in December 2021 with a degree in Environmental Studies and minors in Art and Recreation and Outdoor Education. Over the summers, I guided wilderness canoe expeditions in the Boundary Waters and Canadian River System for Middle School and High Schoolers. Through personal and professional recreation, I found a love for teaching technical and intra/inter personal skills in the outdoors. I believe outdoor recreation creates a unique stage for challenge and growth for all ages. I can’t wait to learn, teach, and have fun with my participants this winter at the BOEC!
