A total of 429 generous donors invested in the magic of the BOEC during this year’s Holiday Giving Campaign, raising a record-breaking $555,353. This proves to us that our community is committed to helping those with disabilities and special needs and so many others, of any ability level, adventure outside in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Your funding provides much-needed, year-long support for BOEC’s programs and helps 2,500 participants annually adapt and overcome their unique barriers to accessing the outdoors. 

Beth Newsom fell in love with the BOEC 20 years ago, and we with her, when she first participated in the Adaptive Ski and Snowboard Program, and we were grateful to be able to share her story with our larger BOEC family for this campaign. Beth was back at the ski office this past week for one of several ski lessons she takes with BOEC each year. She is thrilled with the results of the campaign knowing that this support will help more people get out on the slopes and rivers and bike paths with BOEC just like she has! Nick and JackRyan, her go-to ski instructors, had the opportunity to ski with her again stating, “She is stronger than ever! We hope everyone who contributes to BOEC, whether it is $11 or $250,000, understands how grateful we are for the opportunities that you provide to thousands of skiers and snowboarders, climbers and rafters, and outdoor adventurers year after year. 

This is the busiest time of year for our development team, but also the most rewarding. Our team strives to understand the motivation behind every donor’s intention to give to BOEC and helps direct their gifts within the organization.
