SUMMARY:BOEC Lake Dillon Kayak Adventure at Giberson Bay
DESCRIPTION:9:00am to 12:00pm for 12-20-year-olds (Limit 10) \nWHO: 12-20-year-olds (Limit 10) \nWHAT: We will have a short orientation and then head out on the water for a relaxing\, beautiful and fun paddle. Everyone will have either a single or two person (Kayak) that has been sanitized. We have outriggers so you don’t ever have to worry about flipping! \nAdvance registration will be required with a waiver signed by an adult/legal guardian. Register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-hype-lake-dillon-kayak-at-giberson-bay-12-20-tickets-116061193153. \nWHEN: Tuesday August 18\, 9:00am – 12:00pm \nWHERE: Meet us at the DAY USE Parking lot inside Giberson Bay for a few hours of fun on Lake Dillon. *Look for the big BOEC flag and or BOEC Vehicles. \nDIRECTIONS: From I-70 take Exit 203\, Frisco/Breckenridge. At the first stoplight turn left onto Dillon Dam Rd. The day use area will be on your right. \nPARKING: There is a $5.00-day use parking fee if you are planning on leaving a vehicle parked at the day use lot. For dropping someone off\, you can drive into this area without paying. If dropping off your teen\, please wait till we have completed a health screening before you leave the area. \nTRANSPORTATION: With advance notice\, BOEC can coordinate rides to/from event for those who need a ride. We ask that you identify an accessible meeting location in the area where you live. Example is Breckenridge or Silverthorne Rec Center. \nWhat to bring: \n\nMasks required for orientation\, launching\, and landing\nWarm clothes or layers as it gets cold out on the water\nRaincoat\nSunblock\nPersonal water bottle\nSnacks\nYour own hand sanitizer (we will provide it too but we would love if you had your own bottle)\nShade hat and sunglasses\n\nBOEC will provide: \n\nBoats\, paddles\, PFD’s\nInstruction and supervision\nAdditional hand sanitizer\nMobile hand washing station\nAdditional masks if you forget\nPublic restrooms provided by US Forest Service
