SUMMARY:Heroic Women's Labyrinth River Trip
DESCRIPTION:Dates: September 10-16\, 2026 \nWho: Female Veterans Only \nCost: Free (*Excluding travel expenses) \nAvailability is limited. \nPROGRAM FLYER \n\nDetails \nTake part in a classic western river trip along the Green River. Traveling by raft\, canoe\, kayak\, or paddleboard provides access to the spectacular sandstone cliffs and remote beauty of Labyrinth Canyon. Along the way\, we’ll also take side hikes to further explore and fully immerse ourselves in this stunning wilderness environment. \nThis multi-day trip offers an ideal setting for military veterans to reconnect\, learn new skills\, build camaraderie\, and unwind. Away from the distractions of daily life\, participants can gain a renewed appreciation for the outdoors and rediscover their strength and resilience while journeying down the Green River. \n\nEligible Participants \nThe BOEC extends a special invitation exclusively to military veterans. This river trip is designed to accommodate female identifying veterans who have sustained a moderate to significant injury. Injuries may include but are not limited to brain injuries\, PTSD\, and/or amputees. SUMMARY:Brain Injury Association | Creative Minds
DESCRIPTION:Dates: September 11-14\, 2026 \nWho: Adults with a brain injury (17+) \nCost: $1\,200 per person. Scholarships may be available. \nAvailability is limited. \nRegistration: REGISTER HERE  \n\nDetails \nThis Creative Minds Retreat\, run in partnership with the Brain Injury Association of Colorado\, features four days of alternative approaches to enhancing physical and emotional health of survivors of an injury to the brain. Come stay in our accessible lodge and enjoy activities such as cooking\, poetry\, painting\, journaling\, laughter\, dancing and socializing. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own artistic interests and talents to the retreat. This program is based out of Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center’s Scott Griffith Lodge and staffed by volunteers\, a registered nurse\, and BOEC experienced staff\, instructors and interns. \n\nEligible Participants \nThis retreat is custom designed for adults\, aged 17.
