DESCRIPTION:Join the BOEC for a low-key exercise class. It’s a is a great option for those with chronic pain or low mobility. Each week we will try a variety of exercise types (Chair Exercise\, Laughter Yoga\, Rhythm and Dance). The class is for anyone who may benefit from doing exercise in a chair or seated position and will be held virtually using Zoom. The classes are free to sign up and simply require registration at least 24 hours before the class begins. There are ten spots available per class\, so sign up fast by filling out this form. \nAbout the Instructor: \nLiesl Begnaud\, a native of Colorado\, is a USA Triathlon Level 1 and Para Certified coach and has been racing Endurance Sports for over 16 years. She is a two time Iron Man finisher and has completed numerous marathons\, cycling events and has multiple triathlon age group podium finishes. She has assisted with Challenge Athletes Foundation\, Dare2Tri and Paralyzed Veterans of America. Liesl earned her Master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and passed the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist exam CTRS\, this year. She is a Certified Adaptive Recreation and Sports Specialist through BLAZE Sports Institute.

For dropping someone off\, you can drive into this area without paying. If dropping off your teen\, please wait till we have completed a health screening before you leave the area. \nTRANSPORTATION: With advance notice\, BOEC can coordinate rides to/from event for those who need a ride. DESCRIPTION:BOEC is offering a half day ropes course experience on August 9th\, from 9am to 1pm\, for local veterans in partnership with High Country Veterans Adventures (HCVA). 10 local veterans will have the opportunity to spend the day at the BOEC interacting with one another while experiencing the high ropes course. BOEC will provide 3-4 staff members and volunteers to guide participants through the day’s activities. The flow of the day will be customized to meet the unique needs of the group that signs up. DESCRIPTION:Review\, practice\, and stay on top of your skills with NOLS Wilderness Medicine’s Wilderness First Responder Recertification Course. This scenario-based approach to recertification provides the opportunity to test your skills against realistic situations. \nYou will practice and relearn wilderness medicine protocols\, review evacuation and decision making guidelines\, and receive the latest curriculum updates over the course of three days. \nYou are required to complete both written and practical testing to recertify on this Recertification course. To achieve a passing score (70%) on the written multiple-choice exam\, you must review previous course materials. Please come prepared. Wilderness Medicine Resources page will assist you. \nUpon successful course completion\, dependent on your current certification\, you will earn one of your NOLS Wilderness Medicine certifications: Wilderness Advanced First Aid/Wilderness First Responder/ Wilderness EMT\, Adult and Child CPR & Airway Management; and Epinephrine Auto-injector. \nFor the full course outline\, visit the NOLS Wilderness Medicine WFR-R course page. \nCost: $320 tuition only – no lodging / $320 tuition + $75 for 3 nights lodging at the Griffith Lodge\, showers and use of kitchen (food not included). \nPayment in full is required to reserve your spot.
