SUMMARY:Paddle Into Summer
DESCRIPTION:Join the BOEC and Blue Skies Behavioral Group (BSBG) for 4 days on the water\, June 27-30\, with Paddle Into Summer! Participants\, ages 9-14 with exceptional needs\, will enjoy a variety of water-based activities\, including paddle boarding\, lake paddling\, a full day of whitewater rafting on the Upper Colorado River\, and land-based activities such as the ropes course and rock climbing. Adaptive participation and behavioral needs will be supported by BOEC staff and BSBG’s Board Certified Behavior Analyst. \nAll participants will be responsible for bringing packed lunches each day\, as well as a water bottle\, sunscreen\, and a baseball or otherwise sun-protecting hat. Participants will be dropped off at BOEC’s Scott Griffith Lodge in Breckenridge each morning\, and transportation will be provided when leaving the site. We will be spending most of the time outside every day\, so in addition to what is listed above\, please send participants with everything they may need to stay comfortable. Closed-toed shoes will be needed for hiking and activities. \nTentative Layout Includes: \n\nMonday June 27 – Paddle and Games or Hike @ BOEC (8:30am-2:00pm)\nTuesday June 28 – AM Paddle on Lake Dillon / PM Rock Climb @ Swan Mountain (8:30am-2:00pm)\nWednesday June 29 – Ropes Course and Low Initiatives @ BOEC (8:30am-2:00pm)\nThursday -June 30 Raft Upper Colorado River (8:30am-3:30pm)\n\nPrograms will be provided and led by BOEC’s adaptive recreation specialists. DESCRIPTION:The Keystone Adaptive Center and Adaptive Adventures are partnering once again to provide the Keystone Youth All Mountain Ski and Ride Camp in beautiful Keystone\, Colorado. This four-night\, three-day camp provides youth with physical disabilities an opportunity to learn to ski/snowboard or improve upon their skiing and riding abilities. All participants will experience one-on-one lessons and will be provided adaptive equipment as needed. We are accepting youth and young adults ages 6-21\, depending on size (some children may be too small for our equipment). Family members are welcome to attend.

DESCRIPTION:BOEC Rock Climbing Challenge (Camp Hale) – Wednesday\, July 15\n8:30am to 2:30pm for 14-20-year-olds (Limit 10) \nAfter instruction from BOEC staff you will spend the day rock climbing and enjoying the views of the historic Camp Hale area. This activity is good for the both the experienced climber and beginners. Perfect for anyone interested in learning a new activity in a beautiful location. \nThis event is limited to 10 participants. Presented free of charge by generous sponsors for Summit County residents only. \nWhat to bring: \n\nLong pants recommended\, closed toe shoes required\nMasks required for the entire time while climbing\nWarm sweatshirt or fleece as it is cool in the shade at 10\,000ft.\nRaincoat\nSunblock\nPersonal water bottle\nSnacks\nYour own hand sanitizer (we will provide it too but we would love if you had your own bottle)\n\nBOEC will provide: \n\nHarness\, helmets and all ropes course equipment\nInstruction and supervision\nAdditional hand sanitizer\nMobile hand washing station\nAdditional masks if you forget yours\nPit toilet at Camp Hale will be available\nTransportation to/from Camp Hale can be prearranged in BOEC Vans.\n\nAdvance registration and a waiver signed by an adult/legal guardian is required for all activities. SUMMARY:BOEC Rock Climbing & Paddle Board: Ages 14-20
DESCRIPTION:11:00am to 2:00pm for 14-20-year-olds (Limit 7) \nAfter instruction from BOEC staff we will start with Rock Climbing on our outdoor climbing wall. This wall has two sides so you can choose the amount of challenge you want. After tiring yourself out climbing we will have some paddle boards set up to take out on our lake. This is a great day anyone who is looking to try a new activity\, learn about the basics of climbing and belaying as well your first time on a paddle board. \nAdvance registration and a waiver signed by an adult/legal guardian is required for all activities. All participants will have their own kayak equipped with outriggers to minimize the risk of flipping. Multi-seat kayaks will be available for friends that want to paddle together and\, in addition to the boats\, BOEC will provide PFD’s\, instruction and supervision\, extra hand sanitizer\, a mobile hand washing station\, and additional masks to all participants. \nAdvance registration and a waiver signed by an adult/legal guardian is required for all activities.
