DESCRIPTION:Program Flyer \nWho: This retreat is specifically designed for adults living with Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis (MS). \n\n\n\n\nCost: $975\n\nIncluded in the trip cost: Food\, accommodation in our Griffith Lodge\, all group gear and specialty equipment\, transportation during the course\, and 24-hour instruction and supervision by professional BOEC staff members. A $450 additional cost applies for friends\, family\, or caretakers.\nDETAILS\nWhat: This summer retreat provides unique physical outdoor experiences and features activities such as adaptive cycling\, whitewater rafting\, canoeing\, kayaking\, hiking\, high ropes course\, and rock climbing. Plus\, plenty of time to enjoy the pristine mountain setting at our 39-acre wilderness campus overlooking historic Breckenridge\, Colorado. Evenings include home cooked meals\, sharing stories\, campfires\, and a time to relax. All specialty equipment\, instruction\, fun\, fellowship\, and laughs are included free of charge.You are welcome to bring a friend\, family member\, or care attendant\, if needed.\n\n\n\nWhere: Based out of BOEC’s Scott Griffith Lodge in the mountains of Breckenridge\, Colorado.\n\n\n\nRegistration: Registration is open and applications will be accepted up until one month prior to course start. DESCRIPTION:Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) hosts this winter retreat specifically designed for adults living with Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis (MS). This retreat provides a unique\, supported outdoor experience including adaptive skiing on the slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBased out of BOEC’s Scott Griffith Lodge\, activities include three days of Alpine and/or Nordic skiing & snowboarding\, as well as stretching and movement exercises. All activities are customized to the interests and abilities of the participants to create a more welcoming and rewarding experience while immersed in the natural beauty and serenity of the Rocky Mountains. \nIncluded in the cost is all lodging\, meals\, ski/snowboard instruction\, equipment\, lift tickets\, and 24-hour staff support. Evenings at the Griffith Lodge are ideal for sharing stories\, expressing joys\, and sharing valuable insights with the other participants and staff. Attendees are encouraged to bring a spouse\, friend or other guest who can provide them with support and companionship. \n\n\n\n\nStudent/ Participant Rate: $1300.00\nFriend and Family Rate: $620.00
