SUMMARY:USABA Winter Ski Festival
DESCRIPTION:Join the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) and BOEC on the slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort for a weekend of skiing and snowboarding. All skill levels are welcome – even those who have never tried either sport before! Deadline to apply is January 15\, 2020. \nWho’s Eligible to Attend? USABA members. Not a member? Simply join USABA by going to www.usaba.org and download the membership form; or simply call 719-630-0422 and speak to a USABA staff member about becoming a member. \nWhat’s the Cost? You pay to get there plus $100. Cost covers lodging\, all meals\, ski equipment\, ski instruction and lift passes. Scholarship monies are available to USABA members to help offset some of the overall costs. Additional monies may be available to selected Veterans and active duty service members. \nTo Qualify: Open to all USABA members of all ages; space is limited to USABA members (male and female) who are blind and/or visually impaired; first come first served; includes up to 4 veterans or active duty service members who have suffered an eye injury in Iraq or Afghanistan. \nCall Rich Cardillo at 719-630-0422 (extension 15) or e-mail to cbouwkamp@usaba.org to request your application to attend and answer any questions you might have.
