DESCRIPTION:BOEC’s Mono-Ski Camp is a four day program for mono-skiers. This camp focuses on athletes who are looking to learn and refine their skills in a faster-paced environment than a typical lesson. Based on athletes in attendance\, racing techniques may be incorporated. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Move United and Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center at the Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge\, Colorado\, Ski Spectacular presented by The Hartford is one of the nation’s largest winter sports festivals for people with disabilities\, with more than 800 registered participants annually! \nThe programs offered during this week-long event include learn to ski and snowboard lessons\, a week-long race camp\, Level I Race (Ski Spec Challenge Race)\, Nordic skiing\, free clinics (in Nordic skiing\, biathlon\, curling\, and sled hockey)\, PSIA National Adaptive Academy for Instructors\, banquets\, and other social/networking events. \nSki Spectacular presented by The Hartford strengthens and expands adaptive snow sports programs in communities throughout the U.S. and helps identify and train youth\, wounded warriors\, and others with disabilities who strive to be winter Paralympians. SUMMARY:Outdoor Adventures Within - An Alpine Ski Retreat for Adults Living with MS and Parkinson's
DESCRIPTION:Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) hosts this winter retreat specifically designed for adults living with Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis (MS). This retreat provides a unique\, supported outdoor experience including adaptive skiing on the slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBased out of BOEC’s Scott Griffith Lodge\, activities include three days of Alpine and/or Nordic skiing & snowboarding\, as well as stretching and movement exercises. All activities are customized to the interests and abilities of the participants to create a more welcoming and rewarding experience while immersed in the natural beauty and serenity of the Rocky Mountains. \nIncluded in the cost is all lodging\, meals\, ski/snowboard instruction\, equipment\, lift tickets\, and 24-hour staff support. Evenings at the Griffith Lodge are ideal for sharing stories\, expressing joys\, and sharing valuable insights with the other participants and staff. DESCRIPTION:Semper Fi Fund veterans visit the Keystone Adaptive Center (KAC) for a three day adaptive ski and snowboard clinic to help service members learn or improve their skills.  Skiing and snowboarding are great lifelong activities that can be done individually or with family and/or friends. This camp goes beyond building skills on the slopes; participants enjoy the serenity of the mountains\, connect with fellow veterans\, and boost their confidence. \nThis is a family eligible event.
