SUMMARY:Challenge By Choice Adventure Retreat IV
DESCRIPTION:The Challenge by Choice Adventure Retreat\, run in partnership with the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado\, features six days of outdoor adventure for survivors of an injury to the brain. Come stay in our accessible lodge and enjoy activities such as accessible ropes course\, hand cycling\, white water rafting\, canoeing\, fishing\, hiking\, rock-climbing\, and even a wild dance party! \nThis retreat is custom designed for adults\, aged 17 and above and is staffed by volunteers\, a registered nurse\, and BOEC staff/instructors and interns. All abilities are welcome to apply. Their primary role is to participate in all the activities and be an active “friend” who ensures that their partner is supported as needed. SUMMARY:Heroic Women's Military Colorado River Trip
DESCRIPTION:Come spend 3 days and 2 nights on the Colorado River traveling down the scenic Ruby Horsethief Canyon in SW Colorado. From the seat of your canoe\, you will be quickly immersed in the start of canyon country with the glow of red rocks\, bald eagles\, and beautiful sunsets on the mighty Colorado. After 3 days of a mellow scenic float\, your river adventure will be elevated as we take a guided tour through “The West’s Best Short Whitewater Trip\,” which is Westwater Canyon. On this 17 mile stretch\, the river quickly narrows and you will be awed by the Precambrian rock – the same rock found in the Grand Canyon – be challenged with class III-IV whitewater\, and finish as the river widens to take in the last views of this scenic stretch of river. \nInvited on this adventure are veterans\, active-duty military\, and members of the Guard and Reserve.
