SUMMARY:Fit for Fun
DESCRIPTION:Join the BOEC for a low-key exercise class. It’s a is a great option for those with chronic pain or low mobility. Each week we will try a variety of exercise types (Chair Exercise\, Laughter Yoga\, Rhythm and Dance). The class is for anyone who may benefit from doing exercise in a chair or seated position and will be held virtually using Zoom. The classes are free to sign up and simply require registration at least 24 hours before the class begins. There are ten spots available per class\, so sign up fast by filling out this form. \nAbout the Instructor: \nLiesl Begnaud\, a native of Colorado\, is a USA Triathlon Level 1 and Para Certified coach and has been racing Endurance Sports for over 16 years. She is a two time Iron Man finisher and has completed numerous marathons\, cycling events and has multiple triathlon age group podium finishes. She has assisted with Challenge Athletes Foundation\, Dare2Tri and Paralyzed Veterans of America. Liesl earned her Master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and passed the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist exam CTRS\, this year. She is a Certified Adaptive Recreation and Sports Specialist through BLAZE Sports Institute.

SUMMARY:BOEC Rock Climbing Challenge - Swan Mountain
DESCRIPTION:BOEC Rock Climbing Challenge – Thursday\, September 10\n3:45pm to 6:00pm for 12-20-year-olds (Limit 8) \nWHAT: After instruction from BOEC staff you will spend the day rock climbing and enjoying the views of Lake Dillon while we climb. This area provides climbing opportunities for both first time climbers wanting to gain confidence and basic skills up to more experienced climbers looking to step up their outside climbing skills. \nWHERE: Parking lot off Swan Mountain Road\, turn at the intersection for access to Prospector Campground. The parking lot is 3.1 miles from the Summit County High school. To access climbing area\, we will hike in about 1/3 mile. \nThis event is limited to 8 participants. Presented free of charge by generous sponsors for Summit County residents only. \nWhat to bring: \n\nLong pants and closed toe shoes required\nMasks required for the entire time while rock climbing\nWarm sweatshirt or fleece as it is cool in the shade at 10\,000ft.\nRaincoat\nSunblock\nPersonal water bottle\nSnacks\nYour own hand sanitizer (we will provide it too but we would love if you had your own bottle)\n\nBOEC will provide: \n\nHarness\, helmets and all climbing equipment\nInstruction and supervision\nAdditional hand sanitizer\nMobile hand washing station\nAdditional masks if you forget yours\nBathrooms are limited but can accessed if necessary\nTransportation to/from Swan Mountain can be pre-arranged.\n\nAdvance registration and a waiver signed by an adult/legal guardian is required for all activities.
